Hello Team and Parents!

This page has all the dates you need to know. Under each date you’ll see a brief explanation of what’s happening/is needed by that date.

All documents that are needed will be handed out during our meeting on January 9th; however, we will also be posting them on this page (at the bottom). If you are ever looking for a document you may need, look here.

Lastly, if there is ever any update, we will post it at the top of this page labeling it (e.g. Update #1), then send out an email to the team notifying them to look at the update.

F & Q

The organization we’re working with is currently in a busy season. Due to that, they are only responding to emails on Wednesday and Thursday. Please be patient with me as I find answers to our questions.

Will there be another group there at the same time?

No, it will just be Northview and YWAM’s ministers.

Is the ministry work co-ed?

The ministry work is co-ed. We can split up the groups however we want to.

What is the restroom situation?

Men and women each have their own areas for showering that are connected to their dorms. There are specific hours for showering. There will be allotted time for leaders to shower and a separate allotted time for students to shower.

The showers for the women have individual stalls with full-sized, lockable doors on each stall.

The showers for the men have individual stalls with curtains on each stall.

What is the sleeping arrangements?

Dorms. Males and Females will each have their own separate dorm areas with plenty of bunk beds.

If someone sponsors me, where should they put the money?

This question is answered in full in the “Topics for Sponsor Letter” link at the bottom of the page.

How do I pay?

Click on the “Access Your Registration Here” link directly above the “F & Q”. Once you have signed in from there, you will be able to pay.

January 9th, Tuesday - Team Meeting @ Nview, 6:00 - 7:00PM

At this meeting we’ll discuss: all deadlines from now until we leave, the type of people we’ll be ministering to in San Fransisco and what to expect, fundraising, setting our personal expectations, phone policy, and go through any questions the team has.

You’ll receive a list of deadlines you need to know, a pre-trip checklist, a packing list, and a list of topics that should be discussed if you choose to write a sponsor letter.

There will be no youth group on this day. All students and leaders are to attend this meeting. The youth leaders (not to be confused with the leaders on the missional team) will be having a separate leader meeting directly after.

January 31st, Wednesday - Food Allergens, Waivers, and Health Insurance

By this date you must have each of these items turned in:

Food Allergens / Dietary Restrictions (please email this to zebf@nview.org if you didn’t fill it out on the registration),

Waivers to both Northview and YWAM (located on your registration via the MyChurch app),

Health Insurance information sent in to Northview (Health Insurance Company + Member Number sent to zebf@nview.org).

February 5th, Monday - Packing List Resent Out

On February 5th, I’ll be resending out the packing list. This will be just over a week before we meet to leave. Otherwise, you can go to the bottom of this page for the packing list.

You are to pack only ONE bag.

February 11th, Sunday - Money Due & The Church Praying Over Us

The team will be attending 1st and 2nd service and our church family will be praying over us.

Your $250 is due.

February 12th, Monday - Fundraiser Closes

The sheet selling fundraiser closes on this day.

Leading up to this day, students will be sending out their own ‘website’ to friends and family to sell sheets and other bed goods. The profits (not to be confused with the full amount of the purchase) go to their cost for the trip.

On Sunday the 21st, 28th, 4th, and the 11th, team volunteers will be running a booth at Northview for this fundraiser. We need two to four people for each Sunday. Please email or text me if you’re willing to help run the booth on one or any of those Sundays.

February 14th, Wednesday - Drop Off @ Nview, 8PM

We start the trip by spending the night at Northview. As a team we’ll prepare food for the road trip down, spend the evening with each other, and try to get as much sleep as we can, because we’re leaving bright (or dark—very dark) and early!

Remember, you can only bring one bag for the trip! Pack minimally! Pack smart!

February 15th, Thursday - Travel (Locations)

We’ll be departing 5AM, Thursday Morning for a 12-14 hour drive.

YWAM Base Location: 357 Ellis St, SF, CA 94102

Parking Location: 333 Jones St, SF, CA 94012

February 19th, Monday - Pick Up @ Northview 11PM

We’re leaving San Fransisco at 5AM. We’re stopping for breakfast, lunch, and dinner along the way. We should be arriving at Northview ~11PM. If the time changes we will post an update, above, while we’re heading home.
