MOPS
MOPS
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS groups are communities that strive to meet the needs of every mom with children from birth through kindergarten. MOPS recognizes that urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home moms, teen, single and married moms all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be. MOPS groups can help! MOPS groups meet regularly to celebrate the joys of motherhood and to encourage each other through the challenges.
Our MOPS group meets the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month from 9:30am to 11:30am, from September to June
There are lots of ways to get involved!
Join the group as a Mother of a Preschooler. Space in limited based on safe ratios for child care.
Volunteer as a Moppet worker. An intregral part of MOPS is the MOPPET program, the childcare portion. Children are dropped off with trained childcare volunteers who lead Christian based activites and crafts. Our volunteers work either one or two mornings a month. If you are interested in rocking babies, playing with toddlers, exploring with two year olds or learning with children age 3 - 5, please contact Teri Dumais teresastowell@aol.com425-876-3726.
Be a Mentor Mom. A Mentor Mom is a mature Christian woman with a vital, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She demonstrates an ability to guide, advise and encourage younger mothers while being real and approachable. Mentor Moms attend MOPS meetings and are also involved with the steering team (if available). It is so helpful to young moms to have someone who has "been there" and can listen and encourage. If you are interested in this valuable mentoring ministry, please contact Naomi Wilson or Kim Ripke mops@nview.org for more information.
Speak at a MOPS meeting. If you are interested in speaking to our group, contact Noami Wilson or Kim Ripke (contact info above).
